• Baker Woods  is a 25-acre preserve located on Route 52, about 2 miles west of Ridge Road. Two small shelters are a welcome spot for a picnic lunch. A trail winds through the forest preserve.  Fishing is permitted in the Aux Sable Creek.  In 2008, approximately 205 acres of additional land was purchased around the original preserve.  Check the Kendall County Forest Preserve District website for more information on plans for this area.
  • I&M Canal – Public access can be gained at the Channahon State Park, official trailhead for the Illinois & Michigan Canal State Trail.  Heading west on the trail will take users through the southern edge of the Aux Sable Creek Watershed.  Visit a point of interest located in the watershed called Aux Sable Aqueduct
