Every community in the Aux Sable Creek watershed has ordinances regulating local development. These ordinances impact the way new and re-development occurs in the watershed, which in turn impact the Aux Sable Creek.
Integrating water quality into the ordinances is a recommendation of the 2009 watershed plan. The use of multiple stormwater BMPs can help protect water quality.
